Pantone Calibrated Licence

The imagePROGRAF GP-4000 is the world’s first PANTONE™ calibrated printer featuring the world’s first fluorescent ink* for vivid colours and bold expression, is also now the world’s first licenced as Pantone Calibrated for Pantone Pastels & Neons. Canon’s unique “Radiant Infusion” technology layers a newly developed fluorescent pink ink with other inks on paper surfaces during printing to enable bright and soft colour reproduction for high-impact, high value-added prints.

Canon sought Pantone Calibrated approval from Pantone under licence because of Pantone’s reliability for consistent colour reproduction and its world-wide brand recognition. Canon and Pantone technicians worked directly for a system of colour recipes to ensure that the range of Pantone Pastels & Neons Colours could be simulated and reproduced with the new GP printers.
