Fortus 380 Carbon Fiber

The new Stratasys Fortus 380 Carbon Fiber gives you advanced prototyping and production with carbon fiber-reinforced nylon material.

The Fortus 380mc Carbon Fiber Edition 3D Printer prints exclusively with FDM Nylon 12CF Carbon Fiber and ASA. It fills the gap between capability-limited desktop printers and more costly production-level printers enabled with carbon fiber-reinforced materials. The heated build chamber is the same size as the standard Fortus 380mc, preventing warp and curl for consistent part production regardless of size. Soluble support provides complete design freedom for complex shapes that include voids and undercuts.

The F380 CF system also offers water soluble support material removal, which eliminates the need to do it manually by hand - which can be time consuming.

Advanced Prototyping & Production

The Fortus 380 CF is suited best to manufacturers who produce tooling and fixtures in industries such as Aerospace, Medical Equipment, Automotive, Oil & Gas plus many more.

Applications for this printer, ranges from functional prototyping of composite or metal parts, short production runs or replacing metal parts with a high strength, lightweight alternative.

No Special Skills Needed

Compared to other additive fabrication systems, the Fortus 380 Carbon Fiber edition is easy to operate and maintain as there are no messy powders to handle and contain. So simple, an operator can be trained to operate a Fortus system in less than 30 minutes!

Accuracy

Parts are produced within an accuracy of ± .127 mm (± .005 in.) or ± .0015 mm/mm (± .0015 in/in), whichever is greater). Z part accuracy includes an additional tolerance of -0.000/+slice height. Note: Accuracy is geometry dependent. Achievable accuracy specification derived from statistical data at 95% dimensional yield.
