•  Model and serial number of the printer(s) purchased by the customer from the HP Reseller
•  Model of the used printer to be returned as a Trade-in

6. Trade-in conditions and requirements

Trade-in prices quoted by Hewlett-Packard are only applicable to printers in working condition with no more than minor cosmetic damage. The power cable must be returned and the manual should be included if available. Traded-in printers must be capable of generating a test page; the test page must be attached to the printer when it is sent back to Hewlett-Packard. The printers must be returned complete with all paper trays and toner/ink cartridges.

7. Terms and conditions of Trade-in value payment

The Trade-in values will be paid in pound sterling, directly from Hewlett-Packard to the reseller/ end customer. The payments are made to the customer by electronic bank transfer* within 30 days maximum from the date of the printer pick-up. In case the printer is not available for pickup on the chosen date resulting on a new visit by the carrier, the costs may be billed to the reseller/end customer.

8. Pickup of the Trade-in printer(s)

The following conditions apply for the pickup of the Trade-in printer(s). The HP Reseller/end customer is responsible for the availability of the products to be picked-up based on the date mentioned in the "HP DesignJet Trade-in Agreement". Hewlett-Packard will send a carrier to the customer address, as specified by the HP Reseller/end customer on the HP DesignJet Trade-in Agreement. The return products must be packed in a box. The packaged return product must be on a pallet if it weighs more then 30kg. The Trade-in number must be clearly visible on the outside of the packaging.

Stick the slip on the upper left-hand corner on the side of the box in a way that it can be easily read and cannot be lost.

Any pickup of unpacked units must be advised to the Call Centre immediately (failure to advise the Call Centre will result in delays of the pickup and the subsequent credit payment). The toner/ink cartridges need to be separately packaged from the printers in leak proof packaging. Units for pickup must be made available directly accessible on ground level. The HP Reseller warrants that he/she will check customer’s rightful ownership of the Trade-in printers and such ownership is not subject to any reservation of title, such as lien or security. HP will only pickup printers within country borders. Remote areas within the country are included.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in additional costs that may be billed to the HP reseller/end customer.

9. Non-return of Trade-in printer(s) to customer or HP Resellers

The delivery of the Trade-in printer(s) to Hewlett-Packard is final. After pickup, no Trade-in printer(s) or accessories will be returned to the customer or HP Reseller.

10. Failure to meet terms and conditions for shipment of Trade-in printer(s)

Should the printer received by Hewlett-Packard differ from that given in the "HP DesignJet Trade-in Agreement" (brand or model different than the announced one), Hewlett-Packard will be entitled to adjust the Trade-in value to the one that is appropriate for the returned units. Trade-in printers must be returned in working condition with no more than minor cosmetic damage. The power cable must be returned and the manual should be included if available. Traded in printers must be capable of generating a test page; the test page must be attached to the printer when it is sent back to Hewlett-Packard.

The printers must be returned complete with all paper trays and the toner/ink cartridges. Should the returned Trade-in printer not be complete or not in good working condition, Hewlett-Packard will be entitled not to pay for this printer. Printers that are not either complete or in good working condition will not be returned to the customer or the HP Reseller.
